Jamie Merriam (West Virginia) scored two goals, while Danny Baxter (York College) was credited with three assists to lead Christos Football Club to a dominating 7-1 rout of La Dolce Vita in Maryland Major Soccer League action.

Mamadou Kansaye (UMBC), Brian Quintero (UC-Davis), Nabil Odulate (Bowdoin), Chris Panian (Stevenson) and Alex La Noire (UMBC) all scored single goals for Christos, which improved to 8-0. Alex Lee delivered two assists, while fellow Maryland alum Cody Albrecht and Eugene Brooks (Cal State Fullterton) both had one.

Goalie Dan McCleary (Stevenson) only needed to make three saves for Christos, which plays Steel Pulse (1 p.m.) on Sunday at Banner Field in Latrobe Park. Christos faces Steel FC from Pittsburgh on Nov. 24 (5 p.m.) in the next round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
