Former Maryland standout Alex Lee scored two goals and assisted on another to propel Christos Football Club to a 5-0 shutout of Steel Pulse FC in the finals of the Maryland Champions League Rowland Cup.

Christos has now captured the Rowland Cup crown in four of the last five years and moves on to the United States Adult Soccer Association Region 1 Championships that begin in April.

Jamie Merriam (West Virginia) scored two goals in the thorough thrashing of Steel Pulse, while Tommy Madden (North Carolina-Charlotte) notched the other tally. Davey Mason (Loyola-Maryland), David Harris (UMBC), Brian Graham (UNC-Greensboro) and Danny Baxter (York) all contributed an assist.

Goalie Cody Niedermeier (Maryland, Broadneck High) recorded six saves to post the shut out.

Christos FC will meet Virginia United in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on March 24 (7:30 p.m.) at the Howison Complex in Woodbridge, Virginia.
